The company was founded in 2000 by restaurateur Arkady Levin, who bought two bankrupt poultry farms in the Tula region and converted them to grow turkeys. In October 2001, the first batch of day-old young turkeys was imported from Germany. Now the production includes 60 poultry houses: 30 are used for the final fattening of turkeys, 30 for young animals. Also in the structure of the company there is a workshop for slaughter and deep processing of turkey meat, refrigeration facilities for storing finished products, and a feed workshop. The volume of production is about 20 thousand tons of turkey meat per year. In the summer of 2014, Krasnobor launched a hatchery with a capacity of 12 million eggs per year.
